AI lead qualification

Qualify Every Lead the Moment They Show Interest

Most qualification happens hours late, by a human reading a form fill. An AI agent reads the conversation as it happens, applies your rules, captures the lead, and books the meeting — while the visitor is still on the page.

The rule

The Rule That Decides Who Counts as a Lead.

Most vendors say their AI “identifies high-intent leads” and leave it there. Here is our actual default rule, published, so you can judge it before you sign up. An agent captures a lead when it sees either:

  • 01

    One strong signal —

a question about pricing, a demo request, a quote request, or implementation timing.

  • 02

    Two moderate signals —

substantive follow-up questions that show active evaluation, like feature fit, comparisons, or “does this work for a team our size”.

What does not trigger capture: a greeting, one broad question like “what do you do?”, or time on page, scroll depth, or repeat visits. All of it is editable — thresholds, tone, and the questions the agent asks are written in plain English in the agent's instructions, changeable any time, including after you go live. One capture per conversation: once the form is shown, it isn't shown again unless the visitor asks to reopen it.

The Frameworks Teams Use.

Lead qualification is deciding which enquiries are worth a salesperson's time, and how quickly each one should be contacted. Done well, it stops your team spending its best hours on people who were never going to buy.

FrameworkQualifies on
BANTBudget, Authority, Need, Timeline
CHAMPChallenges, Authority, Money, Prioritisation
MEDDICMetrics, Economic buyer, Decision criteria, Decision process, Identify pain, Champion
GPCTBAGoals, Plans, Challenges, Timeline, Budget, Authority

You don't need to adopt one wholesale. Most small teams need three answers: is this the right kind of company, is this person able to decide, and are they trying to solve this now.

Why manual qualification breaks

Speed, Coverage, Consistency, Cost.

  • 01

    Speed.

Response time is the single biggest lever on conversion, and forms create a delay by design.

  • 02

    Coverage.

Enquiries arrive at 11pm and on Sundays. Your team doesn't.

  • 03

    Consistency.

Two reps score the same lead differently. Then nobody trusts the pipeline numbers.

  • 04

    Cost.

Screening is the least valuable thing a salesperson does, and it eats the most time.

Where it happens

Three Ways to Qualify, Depending on Where Leads Come From.

Inbound — visitors on your site

The Website Lead Capture agent answers questions from your own site content, watches for the signals above, and shows the lead form in the same turn the threshold is met. Live in about 2 minutes, only needs your website URL.

Outbound — building the list in the first place

The Web Lead Extractor agent turns a plain description of your ideal customer into a deduplicated, scored list of matching businesses, filtered on criteria like rating and review count, ready to export as CSV. Setup about 10 minutes.

Booking — turning a qualified lead into a meeting

The AI Receptionist agent answers FAQs from your knowledge base and books demos straight onto Google Calendar at the time requested. Setup 5–10 minutes.

Worked example

What a Qualifying Conversation Looks Like.

Visitor: “We're a 10-person agency. Does your plan cover multiple client sites, what does it cost, and how fast could we be running?”

  1. 01

    Step 1

    Searches the knowledge base

built from your site for plan, pricing, and setup content.

  2. 02

    Step 2

    Answers the question directly,

using only what your content actually supports.

  3. 03

    Step 3

Checks the conversation against the thresholds.

This message contains pricing and implementation timing — a strong signal.

  4. 04

    Step 4

Calls the lead capture form in the same turn,

attaching a summary: 10-person agency, multi-site need, asking about cost and speed.

  5. 05

    Step 5

Carries on answering follow-up questions normally.

The agent answers first and captures second, every time.

What it will not do

Guardrails on the Same Conversation.

  • 01

    Invent a price

that isn't published on your site.

  • 02

    Hold the answer hostage

until the visitor fills the form.

  • 03

    Ask permission

    before showing the form.

  • 04

Show the form a second time.

    One capture per conversation.

Gating information behind a form is the fastest way to lose a real buyer.

Setup

Setting It Up.

  1. 01

    Step 1

    Point it at your website

Paste your URL. The platform crawls your pages — pricing, FAQs, product, policies — and builds a searchable knowledge base plus a brand snapshot of your tone and positioning. No public site? Upload files instead; they're indexed the same way.

  2. 02

    Step 2

Check the rules match how you actually sell

The threshold rule ships already defined, so there's nothing to configure to get started. Open the instructions to adjust what counts as a strong signal, what the agent asks, and what the form collects.

  3. 03

    Step 3

    Test it with real questions

Send it a pricing question, a question your site doesn't answer, and a vague one. Confirm the form fires on the first, that it admits it doesn't know on the second, and that it stays quiet on the third.

  4. 04

    Step 4

Deploy, then connect your CRM when ready

Publish the widget to your site. Leads are captured from day one. Connect HubSpot, Salesforce, or a Slack notification whenever you want them pushed downstream.

Who this is for

Who This Is For.

Small businesses with no one watching chat

Enquiries arrive whether or not someone is at a desk. This catches them at 2am and on weekends.

Founder-led sales

You're the salesperson between other jobs. Let the agent screen and book, and only walk into conversations that are already qualified.

Agencies running client sites

One repeatable setup per client, each with its own knowledge base, and a documented rule you can point to when a client asks why the form fired.

Sales teams drowning in unqualified form fills

Move screening to the conversation itself, so what reaches a rep already has context attached.

Honest boundaries

What This Won't Do.

  • 01

    It won't verify budget.

It captures stated interest and context. Confirming real budget and authority is still a human conversation.

  • 02

It only knows what you've given it.

Answers come from your site content and uploaded files. Thin site, thin answers.

  • 03

It says “I can't verify that.”

By design, it won't invent pricing, availability, or policy. Sometimes a visitor gets a non-answer instead of a confident wrong one.

  • 04

The form is optional for the visitor.

They can decline. The agent keeps helping and doesn't re-ask.

  • 05

It's a starting point, not a locked funnel.

Connecting new tools and adding agents is manual work, not automatic.
